2025 Housing Scholarship

At the Winning Foundation, we believe that safe and comfortable housing is essential to focused learning. That’s why we are dedicated to ensuring that housing is one less worry for students at FAMU.

Eligibility
All current students enrolled in the School of Education, the School of Journalism and Graphic Communication, or the Athletics Department are eligible to apply. We are inspired by the enthusiasm we’ve already seen from applicants and are eager to support your educational journey.

 

Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted by April 30, 2025. Please note that applications will close after this date and reopen in April 2026.

Guidelines

Please read the following information carefully before starting your application

 

1) Make sure your application is complete

Only completed applications will be considered. Do not leave items blank.

 

2) Name Your Documents Properly
All submitted documents must include your first and last name and the document title. Example: John Doe_Personal Statement.

 

3) Stick to the Word Limits
Strictly adhere to the word limits for each question. Applications exceeding the limits will not be accepted.

Requirements for Scholarship Recipients
If you are selected as a scholarship recipient, the following will be required of you:

 

1) Write a Thank You Letter
You must write a "thank you" letter to the scholarship donors

2) Participate in the Fundraising Soirée

You will be expected to support this year’s fundraising soirée by contributing in one or more of the following ways:

• Engaging in social media outreach

• Writing impact letters

• Attending the event to connect with donors and supporters
