Internship Application

The Winning Foundation is seeking dynamic interns from Florida A&M University. This internship program provides hands-on experience in nonprofit communications while supporting our mission to provide housing scholarships to HBCU students.

Eligibility
All students currently enrolled at FAMU are eligible to apply.

Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted by August 29th, 2025. 

Program Duration: September - December (Fall Semester)
Key Event: Annual Fundraising Soiree during FAMU Homecoming (October)
Internship Positions Available: 4 positions across multiple disciplines

 

Guidelines

Please read the following information carefully before starting your application.

 

1) Make sure your application is complete

Only completed applications will be considered. Do not leave items blank.

 

2) Name Your Documents Properly
All submitted documents must include your first and last name and the document title. Example: John Doe_Personal Statement.

 

3) Stick to the Word Limits
Strictly adhere to the word count for each question. Applications exceeding the limit will not be accepted.

About the Unpaid Internship Positions
If you are selected as an intern, the following will be required of you:

Hours & Location

Interns are expected to work 5-10 hours per week, across one academic semester or four-month period. Interns will work remotely during flexible office hours: Monday – Friday; 9:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.

 

Communications & Public Relations Intern

Lead strategic communication efforts to amplify the Winning Foundation's mission and increase visibility within the HBCU community and beyond.

Content & Storytelling Intern

Craft compelling narratives that showcase the foundation's impact and connect with donors, students, and community stakeholders.

Multimedia Reporter & Producer Intern

Create dynamic multimedia content that brings the foundation's mission to life through video, audio, and digital storytelling.

Graphic & Visual Communications Intern 

Design compelling visual materials that enhance the foundation's brand identity and support fundraising and awareness campaigns.

This internship program represents a commitment to developing the next generation of media professionals while advancing the critical mission of educational equity and student success.
